Last night I took my son to his grans for us to have tea and we played in the garden with toys and a tent. At one point we played Frisbee during which, he caught it under his chin once which could've ended nastily. Following that visit, it was up to drum lessons with my stepson in the garage where we played through the latest music book, Grade 1.
Normally it's at this time that I would head home but on this occasion I took my stepdaughter to the cinema where we watched Byzantium which was longer than I expected. It was about immortality actually and the film felt like it had been on for two life times. So it was midnight as I drove the quiet streets home reflecting on my day and life at the moment.
There's more hours in a day than I actually give credit for. I awoke at 4:30am surprisingly, in the belief that my 6:15 alarm was about to spring into action.
I tried my best to settle back into a sleep but couldn't.
I was shocked at how awake and fresh I felt with the late night and even twelve hours on I feel good.
The weather is forecast to be sunny all week which is something to marvel at.
It's good to be alive and appreciate that I'm halfway to death.
